Roseville
Directed by Martin Makariev, Roseville (Vila Roza) is a rare and well-regarded 2013 Bulgarian psychological horror thriller. Based on a chilling 1985 unsolved crime, the film follows guests at an isolated Balkan mountain cabin who are plagued by a terrifying entity manifesting through their nightmares.
At BUBU, our involvement spanned from the initial shoot to the final frame. We operated as the second unit during production and handled the compositing for the entire film. To elevate the intense psychological terror, our team also crafted numerous CGI elements, seamlessly integrating digital props and fully CG animals into the dark, isolated mountain setting.
